Hi, we're William and Margaret Hayes. With 53 years of experience in jewellery craftsmanship, it's time for us to retire.

William came home from Vietnam in 1973. His hands wouldn't stop shaking, so he started making jewellery — small pieces, one at a time. I chose the stones. Three colours. Always the same three. Gold, navy, and poppy red.

We opened William & Margaret Jewellers in Ballarat, Victoria in 1973. William crafts every piece by hand using the same techniques he learned back then. I select every stone with the same care I did on our first day.

Over the years, we've had the privilege of creating jewellery for service families across Australia — from Townsville to Puckapunyal to Holsworthy. Each piece carries the same commitment to quality and meaning that has defined our work for over five decades.

Now, as we mark 111 years since Gallipoli in 2026, we're closing this chapter with a Final Closing Sale.

Our mission has always been simple: to honour the country William fought for through jewellery that lasts. No trends. No mass production. Just three colours, honest craftsmanship, and pieces made to be passed down.
